As we progress out of the cold and into the warmth of spring, our students haven't lost focus one bit -- even with the end of the year right around the corner! We are incredibly proud to announce our HCTC Students of the Month for April 2026!

These students have continued to put their best feet forward all year, making an impact on their teachers and their peers every time they step into our classrooms. Join us in celebrating these ELEVEN students who shined through April!

Caspian Smith - Culinary Arts

Caspian is a thoughtful, patient, team-oriented student. He works hard everyday to improve his skills, to be helpful and to be of assistance to his fellow classmates. He contributes to the good energy of our morning class and always looks for ways to be kind to others. These attributes will get him far. Keep up the positive vibes, Caspian!

Levi Stratton - Diesel Technology

Levi is a very nice and hard-working student. He is a great influence in the classroom and will do anything we ask of him. He is not the sit-around type and is motivated to learn new things in the shop.

Avery Eaton - Academic

Avery Eaton - SOM

Avery has been consistently on target and engaged with his Academics work at HCTC. He brings relevant examples to US History discussions, and has made it a priority to maintain his grades this month. His dedication and work ethic is exemplary. His focus on academic excellence has earned him honors level grades.

Ron Collado - Automotive Technology

Ron Collado - SOM

Ron Collado is a 2nd year Automotive Technology student, and a Senior at Ellsworth High School. He is accepted to EMCC Automotive Technology in the Fall. Ron's skill set continues to improve greatly, as evidenced by a recent oil pan replacement on a Fiat 500! Great work Ron, keep it up!

Destiney Kane - Health Occupations

Destiney Kane - SOM

Destiney is a second year student in the Health Occupations program. She is a pleasure to have in class. She has dedicated a lot of extra time to both HCTC and SkillsUSA. As a SkillsUSA officer, Destiney has participated in many leadership and community service opportunities. She is a PSS, CNA and is working on completing her CRMA. Recently, she has helped at the Babysitting class and has had a stellar performance in completing her med passes in her CRMA class. Great job Destiney!

Elijah Arnett - Multimedia Design

Elijah Arnett - SOM

Elijah has been a solid and dependable student all year. He is a very fast learner and is always willing to help out others. He has been part of a team that has been shooting video for the Ellsworth Chamber of Commerce recently and has proven time and time again to be a reliable and outstanding worker. We are looking forward to Elijah joining media for a third year next year.

Cameron Adams - Business Leadership & Hospitality

Cameron is always prepared for class and does his work on time. He is kind and courteous and always says YES when asked to do something extra. It has been exciting to watch him grow this year. He has become a well poised presenter and provides well spoken ideas to our classroom discussions.

Quinton Johnson - Cybersecurity

Throughout his time in the Cybersecurity 1 program, Quinton has distinguished himself through a quiet yet profound dedication to mastering the field. He consistently demonstrates a high level of technical knowledge and pairs it with an admirable "growth mindset," never hesitating to ask insightful questions when faced with a new challenge. Beyond his individual work, he is a reliable teammate who is always willing to pitch in and support his peers, often bringing a welcome sense of humor to the classroom environment.

Keira Crawford - Education & Human Services

Keira is highly academically focused, consistently demonstrating strong dedication to her studies and a genuine commitment to learning. Throughout her time in the education field, she has made significant progress, showing both growth in her skills and confidence in the classroom. Her internship teacher has given outstanding reviews, often expressing how much she enjoys having her in the classroom and values her contributions. She is also an exceptional helper both inside and outside of school, willingly taking on any task given and actively participating in extracurricular and community events.

Hunter Pomeroy - Welding Technology

Hunter is a well rounded student. Always has a smile on his face. He just passed his AWS 3/8 SMAW plate structural certification. Working now on his FCAW 1" plate certification.

Ben Hanf - Carpentry

Ben is quiet young man that is always there and willing to help with anything. He has knowledge and skills that will help him in whatever field he chooses for his career. Ben will be an asset on any job site.
