We are excited to announce our HCTC Students of the Month for November 2025! Each month, we are extremely proud to recognize some of our students who go above and beyond in everything they do while in our building. This month, we are excited to show off these eight students who make an impact on their classmates and teachers each and every day!
Abby Billings - Business Leadership & Hospitality
Abby not only excels here at HCTC, but also at Sumner Memorial HS. She is always ready to work and diligent about her quality of work. Abby has taken her independent study in entrepreneurship seriously, most recently setting up a booth at Sumner's Home Grown Fair to sell her hand painted watercolor cards. This experience gave her real-world planning, organizing, and time management practice.

Lucas Alteri - Cybersecurity
Lucas arrives for class each day with a positive, focused attitude. This Cyber 2 student has come in on his own time to share his knowledge and expertise about IT with our Cyber 1 students. He has excelled in his work and asked to take on additional assignments. Lucas continues to show leadership in our HCTC workplace and in the field of cybersecurity.

Kaylee Sanborn - Criminal Justice
Kaylee is a pleasure to have in class, she is always upbeat and participates in class discussion. She pays attention to detail and always controls scenarios in a professional manner. She is also one of the first students to volunteer for community events. She has participated in Tip A Cop, Autumn Gold Car Show and Thanksgiving meal deliveries. All while traveling from Bucksport on her own time. She also is doing great academically. Kaylee is a leader in the Criminal Justice Program, and will do well in any career path she chooses.

Sophia Harmon - Health Occupations
Sophia is a senior from EHS and she has both her CNA and PSS certifications. She displays academic excellence in all of her Health Occupations classes. Sophia always offers to help out and is a leader in the classroom. She was chosen to represent and be a spotlight student for HCTC for a DOE evaluation of the CTE investment grants. She plans to attend college in the fall for radiography.

Bos Lisy - Multimedia Design
Bos is a consummate professional in every aspect of video production in his Multimedia Design Class. He is meticulous with planning which results in professional quality in his short films. He is creative, hard working, and is also a dynamic team player. If Bos chooses to pursue a career in video production, his skills, work ethic, and ability to work very well with others will take him far.

Bryleigh Gatcomb - Health Occupations
Bryleigh is a first year student from Sumner High School. She is an enthusiastic learner who has a passion for the medical field. Already in her training she has shown many great characteristics that would make her a great nurse. Both in class and clinical she displays responsibility and professionalism. She is working towards getting her CNA and PSS certifications this year.

Alli Horner - Automotive Tech
Alli is a Second Year Automotive Student from MDI. She is a natural at electrical diagnostics, even if she doesn't think so! She excels in the shop, classroom, and on the softball field. She is a key member of our Auto 2 class this year. Keep it up, Alli!

Gaby Teague - Culinary Arts
Gaby is dependable and works hard. She is up for any task she is assigned and is always willing to lend a helping hand to others. Gaby has taken on a leadership role with our morning students as they prepare for The Brookside, happily guiding them as they learn how to get ready for the restaurant. She is a great asset to the Culinary Arts program.
