Ellsworth High School is turning the gym bright pink this Friday, January 23, as our basketball teams host Belfast for our annual Pink Night!
This year, our longstanding tradition comes with a twist. Thanks to the support of several local businesses, the girls will hit the court in brand new pink jerseys -- shoutout to senior Elizabeth Boles for spearheading the effort, and shoutout to our local businesses for stepping in to help out!
In addition to the pink jerseys, the girls have worked hard to fundraise and they will be presenting a $3,000 charitable donation to support the Beth C. Wright Cancer Center in Ellsworth! The Eagles are presenting their check to representatives from the cancer center right before tip-off of the varsity girls game -- scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
The game schedule is as follows:
JV Girls – 3:00 PM
JV Boys – 4:30 PM
Varsity Girls – 6:00 PM (donation presentation before tip‑off)
Varsity Boys – 7:30 PM
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the following businesses for their generosity and support: Sylvia’s Café, First National Bank, Friend & Friend, NAPA Coastal Auto Parts, Darling’s Ellsworth, Franklin Savings Bank, Camden National Bank, and Friends & Family Market! We couldn't do what we do without a community as strong as ours.
Come out, wear pink, cheer on the Eagles, support a great cause -- and help us celebrate this meaningful night!
