INTRODUCTION TO MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY
Introduction to Medical Terminology is a semester long class at HCTC. The purpose of the program is to prepare the high school student for a career in the medical field. This class is offered to sophomores, juniors and seniors in high school. The student will be instructed in Medical Terminology related to anatomy and physiology, diseases, and specific health careers. The program may be taken prior to the Nursing Assisting course or may be taken for college credit for Medical Terminology. This course also may open doors to students who may be looking into working in the community in the area of medical receptionists positions.
Schedule: This course meets during the first semester on Monday-Thursday from 11:45 am-2:15 pm and on Fridays from 11:45-1:15 pm.
Location: This course is held at Hancock County Technical Center.
