Molly Carroll named HCTC's Student of the Year

Each year, the Maine Administrators for Career and Technical Education (MACTE) asks each Career and Technical Center throughout the state to select their top senior for the Student of the Year Award. At the Hancock County Technical Center, they select a senior who has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement in their program, great attendance, and who has outstanding commitment to the Career and Technical Center and plans to pursue their program in college.

Local Veteran Visits Media Students

Yesterday, Carmine Pecorelli, a WWII, Vietnam and Korea veteran, visited with our Media II Students. He is a good friend of theirs from their trip to Arlington with Wreaths Across America. He enjoyed a tour of our school and got to visit all of our programs. We enjoyed meeting him and having the opportunity to listen to stories of his vast experiences!

1st Annual 7th-8th Grade Skills Camp

Saturday, March 28 from 8:00 am-11:00 am.
Students will get an opportunity to tour the school, learn about one specific program and do a project/activity within the chosen program.
All workshops cost $40 and are available on a first come, first served basis.

HCTC Students Dominate at State SkillsUSA Competition

Hancock County Technical Center sent 57 competitors to the State of Maine Competition on March 5th & 6th, and walked away with 30 medals!!! As always, we are extremely proud of how our students represented themselves and HCTC at this event. The sense of pride for our school and the camaraderie between our students was evident throughout the competition and ceremonies...another reason why HCTC is the best!

The 2nd Annual Tips 4 Skills at Ellsworth's Pat's Pizza

The 2nd Annual Tips 4 Skills was a huge success due in large part to the generosity and the hard work of the Pat's Pizza staff. Thank you Tim, Rachel, Stephanie, Rachelle, Amanda, Lisa, Mercy, Ben and the kitchen crew. Your hard work and patience with our students and staff are greatly appreciated.
