I am currently the instructor for the Law Enforcement program. I am a retired 21 year veteran of the United States Air Force, where I served as a Security Police Officer and Security Clearance Background Investigator. I have also worked as a reserve police officer for several police agencies, to include the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office in California, Newport Police Department, Eddington Police Department and the University of Maine Police Department in Orono. I have received previous certification as a pepper spray, TASER and expandable baton instructor and certifications in breath alcohol measurement, drug recognition training, child sexual abuse investigations, speed RADAR measurement and crime scene processing, to name a few. During my time as a military police officer stationed in combat areas, I assisted the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI) in combating acts of international terrorism, where I later used this information to develop a course of instruction that I has taught at the University of Maine, Bangor and Beal College. From an educational standpoint, I have a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Boston University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration of Justice from the University of Maine Augusta, and an Associate of Science Degree in Law Enforcement from the Community College of the Air Force.
