The Early Childhood Education II program provides an internship placement that helps students build on prior experiences, abilities, interests, and personal skills while exploring careers and roles in the field of early childhood education. The course content consists of knowledge needed to be successful in various work settings. Topics include: professionalism, work eithics, working with children and their families, educators, and practitioners in diverse communities, approaches to teaching and learning, and reflective practice. Students are provided both classroom instruction as well as guidance by a mentor at an internship site. Upon completion of ECE II students will be eligible to earn their CECA certification.
This course meets Monday-Thursday from 11:45 am-2:15 pm and Fridays from 11:45-1:15.
