The Early Childhood Education I program is designed for students who are interested in working with children ages birth to eight. This course will allow students the opportunity to enhance their understanding and aptitude of learning environments conducive to the emotional, cognitive, physical, and social development of young children. Students apply new knowledge in child development, health and safety, curriculum planning, and guidance techniques at the onsite preschool, the Caterpillar Clubhouse. Opportunities to develop effective leadership, communication, and teamwork skills, and to support, facilitate, and evaluate early childhood settings through numerous assignment and performance tasks, are presented.
This course meets Monday-Friday from 8:15 am to 10:30 am.
This course is held at Hancock County Technical Center .
